| Summer
is well and truly here
and very pleasant it is, warmer, dryer and less midge than usual.
We have had a very busy year so far with very little availability
in July and August, but there are opportunities for holidays in
September and October and remember our cottages are open all year
round. Ardtornish is beautiful in Autumn – the colours, the
light, the air and few bugs. |
|
Our
Prices and Availability Page is avaible online please email
us for details. 2010 prices and availability will soon be shown.
There is still availability for Christmas and New Year. |
|
| Three
beautiful Brown Trout
caught by Jackie Crozier and his son Andrew in May of this year.
They weighed in at 6lbs, 7lbs and 9lbs and were caught on Loch Arienas.
|
|
The
televisions
are now installed and working in all of our properties except the
Boat House and remember, if you don’t want television during
your holiday, just let us know and we will remove it before you
arrive. Washing machines are now in all of our properties. |
|
| Bookings
for 2010
are now being taken. Please reserve your 2010 visit sooner rather
than later as we no longer send out the offer to return for the
same week/property. |
|
| This
does not affect our ‘regular, regular’ visitors whose
weeks and properties will continue to be automatically reserved
for them. |
|
| Reserve
now and pay no deposit until January 2010. |
|
| The
South Wing
now includes the newly reinstated drawing room (what was the billiard
room) and private use of the hall. A table tennis table is to be
put in the hall soon. |
|
| Bed
linen and towels are included in the rent of The South Wing as well
as a mid week housekeeping visit. |
|
| This
year’s weddings at Ardtornish
have been hugely successful. Neil and Eda in November, Simon and
Jeanette in March and Ben and Sophie in May – all very enjoyable
events and a great privilege for us at Ardtornish to help make these
very special occasions the great days they were. |
|
We
hope to set aside 2 weekends in June for weddings in 2010. If
you would like a mid-summer wedding at Ardtornish, please don’t
delay contacting us. Catering for all of our functions is offered
by Whitehouse Catering of Whitehouse Restaurant fame. See: www.thewhitehouserestaurant.co.uk
for more information.

|
The
Morvern Games Day
was held on Saturday 18th July at Knock Park in Lochaline. A showery
day didn’t put off the competitors and spectators and a great
days sport and entertainment was enjoyed by all. |
|
www.ardtornish.co.uk
our web site has been thoroughly overhauled and improved. Easier
navigation, better information, more pictures – all together
a better and more useful site. |
|
The
Bungalow Bunkhouse
is being taken out of circulation from Mid August of this year to
be used as accommodation for workers building our new hydro electricity
scheme. It will be open again for general use in Spring 2011. |
|
| Thank
you
to every one who has visited us so far this year, it was good to
meet you. I hope that you enjoyed everything that Ardtornish and
the Morvern peninsula had to offer. |
|
We
look forward to welcoming those of you yet to visit this year and
helping you get the best from our area and community. |
