Holiday in Victorian splendour
Ardtornish House offers self catering holiday flats fitted to very high standards.
The House was completed in 1892 to designs by Alexander Ross, the architect from Inverness, who specialised in the restoration of castles, but also designed large buildings throughout Scotland. Much of the interior was redesigned in 1907-10 in the Adam style by John Kinross, better known for his work at Manderston near Berwick-upon-Tweed. Ceilings were decorated with ornamental plasterwork and the principal bathrooms lined with marble.
The house is now divided into six self-contained flats, five of which are let for self-catering holidays. Two or more flats can be rented at the same time to accommodate a large family or group of friends.
