Achabeag groundworks underway
Groundworks have started at Achabeag, and between there and Lochaline, to provide the services to the new Achabeag settlement.
The mains water pipeline is being extended from Kirk Brae in Lochaline. Access tracks to the plots are being dug at Achabeag Phase One, along with trenching to allow services to be delivered to each house – water, electricity, sewerage, and telecoms. In the near future, the electricity powerline will be removed from over the B849 public road and Phase One of the development, along with seven power poles – a major improvement to the amenity of the area.
A detailed plan of the Achabeag development can be downloaded here.
Ardtornish is working with Bobby Ross on the contract, with oversight by Alistair MacIntyre. The Site Architect is Peter Smith, of Roderick James Architects.
